Opening conversations through Twitter

From Jane Hart’s E-Learning Pick of the Day: wwwitter

wwwitter is a tool that lets you take part in Twitter discussions about any webpage. You can launch wwwitter from any page on the web, and you don’t need a twitter account to read what people have been saying.

What’s interesting here is that one can open up any conversation about any web page with this tool! And without needing Twitter itself!
I am following Twitter almost closely, these days. Its openness I find quite intriguing: as NYT‘s Pogue said, anybody can do whatever they think with Twitter, and people are driving its growth towards a series of tools. In a few words, it’s evolving into a platform.
