Twitter Books

I just got my invitation into Twitter Lists, thus Mashable‘s HowTo article on How To Use Twitter Lists comes quite handy. I’m learning from it, but also from Robert Scoble‘s spicy remarks and advice.
However, I’m also reading one little great book on Twitter: The Twitter Book by Tim O’Reilly and Sarah Milstein.

In this little post however, I just want to say that this little book is a precious one, for many reasons.

  1. Its format is very cozy. It asks to be opened. Its pages tweet how nice it is to scramble some notes on its margins!
  2. The text is very knowledgeable and even expert Twitterers will find this information useful and interesting. In the end, you will simply know more about Twitter, and you’ll get a reasonable idea of what to do with it, and how to do it.
  3. The prose is light and unassuming. A pleasure to read, even on the beach.
  4. It inspires me to actually do something similar with an old project of mine, which I never have the time to start writing for.

Great work, Tim! I wish we had more similar little books!

Plus, I’m eying a free companion book, available on your faithful desktop: The Complete Guide to Twitter by Mark O’Neill, from the people at MakeUseOf.com. It is a 53-page book available in scribd format (printable and embeddable). It is also a little jewel of a book!
