The NMC (New Media Consortium, www.nmc.org) has just published its annual 
Horizon Report. It is a compendium of very compelling information on the technologies that will affect and contribute the most to education in the next years. It has sections on tech in the time-to-adoption horizon of one year or less (extended learning), or of four to five years (social networks and knowledge webs). It is a must read.
