A year in Germany

Today my 15-year-old daughter is flying to Germany, for an exchange year, as the recipient of a US Congress-Bundestag scholarship. For the first time in her life she will be far from her family (actually, she will stay with a new one). She’ll attend school there, and make friends, and suffer some cold weather, too. She has been brave, and willing to go and see the world for herself. And she is already having a great time!
